This 3-room resale flat had potential, but it lacked purpose and warmth. The living space didn’t have a proper dining area, and the entryway felt dated.
To start, we extended a partition wall that allowed us to introduce a generous island right in the living room—an anchor that now brings the space together. The island table makes a subtle statement, muted laminate meets ivory sintered stone, laced with gold-yellow marble veining for that touch of luxe. Beneath the surface, three storage compartments are neatly integrated, keeping clutter out of sight while maintaining a clean silhouette.
More than just a countertop, this island plays a dual role: a spacious prep area for a homeowner who loves to bake, and a casual dining spot that invites conversation and connection.

At the entrance, we carved out a charming arched niche, transforming a plain wall into a soft, welcoming moment that showcases the homeowner’s favourite pieces. Nearby, we rewrapped the distribution board cabinet in a matching laminate, allowing it to blend seamlessly into the overall palette. Even the fire-rated door, often overlooked, was refreshed with a new laminate, turning a regulatory feature into a refined design element.
All these little touches were done mindfully and cost-effectively, proving that you don’t need to tear down everything to build something beautiful.
The living room was conceptualised with a focus on achieving a balanced harmony between form and function, infused with modern luxury. The primary design intent was to establish a serene, cohesive environment using a muted material palette, refined architectural elements, and integrated storage solutions. The focal point of the space is a custom-designed TV feature wall, carefully proportioned to anchor the room without overwhelming it. To soften the architecture and add a layer of visual interest, we introduced a curvy-profile false ceiling that wraps gently around the top of the feature wall. This fluid form not only enhances the softness of the space but also brings a sense of movement and balance—drawing the eye upward while creating a cocooning effect that’s both modern and welcoming.
We also created a custom-designed TV console table with drawers to provide storage, while unsightly wires and tech components are also neatly hidden behind the wall and under the drawers
The flooring was finished in oak wood herringbone vinyl, selected for its durability, warmth, and classic visual texture. The herringbone pattern introduces a dynamic, yet timeless element to the interior, adding visual interest while maintaining cohesion with the neutral palette.
To bring everything together, we applied a muted cream-beige colour palette throughout the room, wrapping the space in softness and warmth. This neutral scheme not only reflects natural light beautifully but also sets a calming tone.
To create visual continuity, we used the same ivory with gold-yellow marble veining sintered stone for both the backsplash and kitchen countertops. Complementing the sintered stone surfaces, the cabinetry is finished in a muted grey laminate, a timeless choice that softens the overall palette while introducing a touch of modern luxury.
Appliance integration has been carefully considered for both function and form. The microwave, oven, and refrigerator are all strategically aligned along one side of the kitchen, streamlining the workflow and ensuring easy, efficient access for everyday use.
To enhance spatial efficiency, the kitchen layout was opened up by removing the enclosing walls and eliminating the original service yard doors. This thoughtful reconfiguration not only improves natural light flow and air circulation but also creates the space needed to introduce a built-in dishwasher, an essential upgrade for modern living.
We also installed a tall pull-out rack for easy access to snacks and daily essentials. Meanwhile, unsightly piping is discreetly hidden behind the cabinets and doubles as storage for cleaning supplies.
The transformation of the common bathroom centres around a desire to elevate the space with refined finishes, tactile textures, and a touch of quiet drama. To begin, the original wall tiles were replaced with large-format Calacatta Gold marbled tiles, instantly introducing a sense of luxury and expansiveness. The subtle gold veining adds warmth and sophistication while the scale of the tiles reduces grout lines, resulting in a cleaner, more seamless visual flow.
Grounding the space, we introduced oak wood-look floor tiles, this combination of marble and wood tones creates a timeless palette that feels both calming and indulgent. To define the wet zone, a glass shower screen was installed, keeping the space open and light while containing splashes and maintaining practicality.
The vanity unit was custom-designed with a wood fluted front, adding tactile detail and natural texture to soften the sleek stone surroundings. Sitting atop is a striking black marble basin, injecting contrast and personality into the space, just the right amount of boldness to balance the serene material palette.
In this home, the typical layout was reimagined to reflect the homeowner’s lifestyle, prioritising comfort, space, and personal luxury. Instead of retaining the common bedroom, the decision was made to combine two rooms into one expansive master suite, transforming it into a private retreat that feels both indulgent and deeply personal.
To create this unified space, the connecting wall was removed and the original common bedroom entrance sealed, allowing for a more open and functional layout. A sense of drama and timeless charm greets you at the new entrance, where a customised European-inspired French door with arched ribbed glass panels, gold-finished hinges and door handles and inward-opening double doors sets the tone. This graceful entryway elevates the transition into the master suite, reminiscent of a boutique hotel or a quiet escape in the French countryside.
We also created a custom platform bed, designed with a marbled headboard that adds a soft statement of luxury. Beside it, a personalised side table serves a dual function, ideal for evening reads or light work, reflecting the homeowner’s desire for both style and comfort.
Opposite the bed, a walk-in wardrobe becomes a destination in itself. The highlight is a closet island with a glass top, designed for displaying and organising jewellery and accessories, combining function with elegance. Pull-out drawers beneath offer generous storage, while full-height cabinetry with gold handles provides a cohesive and polished aesthetic. As a final touch of refinement, two tinted glass display shelves showcase the homeowner’s luxury bag collection, adding a curated, gallery-like effect that enhances the sophistication of the room.
The master bathroom was conceptualised to evoke a sense of calm indulgence, where everyday routines feel more like ritual.
To maintain harmony with the rest of the home, the existing bathroom door was replaced with a bi-fold design featuring ribbed glass panels framed in white, paired with oak wood detailing. This choice allows soft light to filter through while preserving privacy, and the oak accents echo the warm, organic tones found throughout the master bedroom.
The original wall tiles were upgraded to large-format tiles in a glossy grey marble finish, creating a seamless, expansive effect. The reflective surface not only enhances the sense of space but also lends a sophisticated, luxurious ambience reminiscent of high-end hotel bathrooms.
The most transformative change was at the homeowner’s special request: the existing rain shower area was reimagined to accommodate a freestanding bathtub, a statement piece that invites relaxation and self-care at the end of a long workday. This elegant tub serves as both a functional feature and a visual focal point, instantly elevating the space.
Completing the look is a white-and-gold vanity basin, paired with gold-accented fittings including a sleek tap, towel rack, and a mirror trimmed in gold. These finishing touches add warmth and refinement, tying the design together with a modern yet timeless feel.
