This is a new condo apartment where a family of four lives. The developers had included some built-in features, but the homeowners didn’t really vibe with them. Instead of the more modern luxury style in the existing design, they wanted something cosier and more Scandinavian-inspired. With its soaring ceilings, the loft transforms into a striking space that blends work and play. Thoughtfully designed, it functions as both a cosy gaming nook and a productive home office.
Room Type: 3 Bedroom Condominium Penthouse
Location: 61 Normanton Park
Home To: A Family of 4

As you step into this home, you’re greeted by a custom-designed full-height entryway cabinet with a built-in settee that creates both function and form. It provides ample storage for the family and acts as a subtle divider, separating the entry from the living hall while maintaining an open flow.
The soft, natural palette of ivory creams and light wood tones was chosen to evoke a warm and welcoming atmosphere, ensuring that this transitional space feels both cosy and stylish from the moment you walk through the door.
One of the biggest changes to the space was the addition of the loft above the living room, meant to make the most of the 4.8-metre ceiling. It functions like a little home office and gaming area up there. There’s also a cantilever for extra storage without going over the floor limit regulations. That really helps keep the loft feeling open and spacious. To get to it, you take a little flight of stairs behind the TV wall. It’s made of pine wood and has these cool sensor LED lights for ambience and to keep you safe.
The TV wall feature wall is also a focal point in this 3-bedroom condominium at Normanton Park. It features a white marble-grain backdrop with a concealed LED strip, various storage compartments and a curved corner to soften the edges.
There is even a hidden storage space accessible from the balcony, where the family stores their laundry essentials and a pull-out ironing board for their convenience.
Most of the kitchen design remains as is to maintain the developer’s warranty. But we switched things up a bit by overlaying the existing metallic laminate cabinets with matte grey vinyl sticker to tone down the flashy look. It matches perfectly with the existing dark marble countertops and backsplash. Additionally, the laminate we selected is anti-fingerprint, making it practical.
Outside the kitchen, we added some extra built-ins for storage. It’s not just for storing stuff though—the space also displays family photos, and it’s a convenient spot for the water dispenser. We also incorporate a hidden nook where the homeowners store their robot vacuum.
The kids’ bedrooms are all decorated in neutral colours like the rest of the home, but each one is personalised to fit their unique styles. The son’s bedroom is decorated in a soft, natural colour palette of ivory cream and warm pine wood to evoke the Scandinavian vibe.
The custom L-shaped layout, full-height wardrobes, and sleek work desk that seamlessly extends to the platform bed make the room feel open and practical. It’s designed to grow with him while keeping a calm, inviting atmosphere.
And for the daughter’s room, we gave it a pastel accent wall and a desk that’s flush to the bed with drawers and the wardrobe for all her things. The custom platform bed with storage keeps everything organised, making the room spacious and practical.
The master bedroom’s design is all about maximised space and thoughtful details. We customised a storage platform to keep things functional without sacrificing style. Curved edges and soft LED lighting bring a gentle, restful glow to the room.
We took the headboard all the way up to the ceiling with fluted panelling to visually elongate the space, adding both height and beautiful texture. For the bed, we crafted a thinner-than-standard base to create an open, spacious feel in the room. And because the homeowners are quite tall, we raised the platform slightly, perfect for their needs without compromising style.
